What is the cost of joy? Athletes will spend their entire lives striving for greatness and glory. I wanted to focus on their journey, specifically MMA fighters because of the visceral and raw nature of their sport. 

To most people, getting punched in the face for a living is nonsensical but after speaking to multiple fighters, and training MMA myself, I want to showcase the pleasure and peace within the chaos of fighting. 

The imperfect aesthetic of this piece symbolises the tough journey these athletes take.

I animated some of the more mundane parts of fighting to give a different view of fighters.
